NO,I WOULDN'T FIRE HIM YET, he has some good recruits coming in .If sweetney comes back and they don't do so hot ,ya i would say goodbye. But he has some good recruits coming in in the next few years.Lets not forget P.EWINGJ.R. WOULD HE STILL COME IF ESH ISN'T THERE.MY QUESTION IS WHO WOULD YOU REPLACE HIM WITH? I WANT NAMES SO REPLY.

I'm hopeful that Causey is the point we desperately need and that Townes can be what we all expected Wes to be this year. I doubt either will be the impact players we need to make a substantial difference with Esh at the helm. I think we have top 25 talent this year, and I can only think of two losses (1st SH game and Cuse) where poor coaching didn't play a significan role. Dana Altman would be nice

i too hope that causey is a solid guard, point or two guard, but i really see alot of upside in ashanti cook. after seeing him play in the virginia game, i thought that he should be our starting point guard for the rest of the season. on healthy ankles, it seems that he can break anyone down off the dribble with his speed. this would also create open shots for others along with himself. that was my biggest disagreement with esh's decisions so far this year. a quick, solid point guard is so crucial in college hoops these days, and i feel we have one in cook if given the chance.

Personally, I would give him more time, but if I had to replace him I would go with Ronnie Thompson or Patrick Ewing, mostly for nostalgic reasons, but also for that John T style recruiting.

I think we need to have a clean break from John Thompson. Yes, he is the sole reason this program was ever successful, but in order for this program to resurface to a national power, starting over is a must. Lets bring in a new coach and stadd with a new vision that will help rejuvenate this team and start bringing in top recruits year to year. Georgetown basketball is an afterthought in this area with UMD being so dominant the last few years. Hell, we dont even get mentioned on SportsTalk 980, they are all about the Terps! I want to see this change in the worst way.

;)Look at replacing Escherick with Bobby Gonzalez of Manhattan. He's a rebuilder. And he's fast.

I love my hoyas, but if they bring in someone outside the hoya family that has nothing to do with the way they got this thing started ,i doubt i'll be a fan and i've been one for over 25 years. You CAN'T take coach K and put Ben Howland there, and you can't take D.Smith and put Boeheim there it just doesn't work like that. All i'm saying is bring somebody that knows the whole criteria of gtown.JT HASN'T SAID A BLEEPIN THING ABOUT THIS DEBACLE.We all know he's involed someway so why doesn't some news reporter get the cohonas and ask him some questions. And where is all the publicity on this whole issue, this should be on espn and other major networks, the fall of what was once a great bball team to mediocracy.Maybe that would shake things up a bit.

I agree with Chris, we need to look outside the family.

If we bring someone new in he better have made a name for himself,in a way i still think we can win.And when are the coaches gonna start yelling at certain players for dumb mistakes.JT yelled.
