if Wes comes back along with Sweets we have a very talented team. that prob will not happen though. we've inked Causey and Townes and i guess Patrick i heard would pay his sons tuition so it wouldnt use up a scolarship. does anyone else know anybody who we might get? for 2004 Roy Hibbert a top 5 C is coming and anyone know which way Isaish Swann is leaning?

GU took back the scholarship offer to McKiver, so he probably won't be a Hoya. Moore took back his verbal and is re-examining his options. I've heard conflicting stories about PE Jr. I've heard that his dad really wants him to be a Hoya but that he may not be too interested in going to Georgetown. I think Causey and Ewing played on the same AAU team, so it's possible he could help convince him.
I haven't heard too much about Swann or Cooke. How good are they? What high schools?

"Recruiting the insiders" hasnt updated that on McKiver and Moore yet. Swann is a top 5 SG that starts on Oak Hill and Cooke is a Pg at Nansemond River HS in Suffolk Va. heres a bio. One of Virginia’s top players for the past few seasons. Big guard who can score. As a high school point he’s more of a scorer who is still feeling him way around the position. Has all kinds of tools (range on jumper, hesitation dribble) and could be a star on the college level.

swann will be a terp (though i wish we got him)......cooke stated he wanted to stay close to home (boy i would love for him to sign with g-town).....ucla, michigan state, duke, maryland, virginia, and n.c. state are recruiting him along with us. from what i've read, uva and nc state are making him a priority.

I'm excited about Hibbert's potential. The kid is huge for his age. And I read he's been performing well of late, although many still doubt his talent. We'll see.
Causey was unable to lead his team very far in the Georgia playoffs. Berkmar was supposedly the most talented team in the state. They lost their coach early in the season, but Matt still should have been able to lead the team beyond the second round. The kid is a PG and has a ton of talent, at least at the high school level, but didn't seem to do anything to get his teammates to come together and succeed. I pray that's the coach's fault. From what I've read, he's also a pretty selfish player, at least inasmuch as he looks to score first, pass second. That's fine for a kid on a team without a lot of talent, but that isn't the case at Berkmar.
I'm still excited about Causey. He has more talent at pg than anyone we've had over the past five years. He does sound like a passionate player who can shoot and pass. He's short, but can dunk, so I assume he's a good athlete. Also, Causey is important to the program as a white recruit. John Thompson isn't coach anymore and Esh isn't black, so any advantage JT may have created through his social engineering is no longer at play. Hopefully Causey and Esh can work to overcome some of his current shortcomings and he will become a great Hoya.

i heard different about Causey, that hes only concerned with one thing-winning and hes unselfish. who knows. and im worried about Hibberts feet (we've seen with Shaq how much it can be a problem) and lets hope Esh isnt around next year anyway

you're right, all the recruiting sites say he's an unselfish player, but I've read the opposite on the Georgia HS Hoops message board. Everyone admits he has a ton of heart though, so he can't be all that bad
