Hi to everybody, newbie to the board here. However, if you've been on the espn board you probably know me. Anyway, now that bethel's transferring I guess its a pretty good conjecture that hall will be gone soon as well. Does anybody know how soon we can expect such an announcement from him if he does decide to transfer, and where the two are likely to head? While I can only see hall at a mid major, i expect bethel to be picked up by a big time school, maybe even a school in the BE like ND or Providence (though the latter has some good recruits coming in at the 2 spot). Anyway, in light of how they're good friends does anybody think they'll go to the same school? Regardless good luck to both of them and thanks for the effort they put in at gtown.

welcome
I think the conventional wisdom and rumors were that Drew was gone before we heard about Tony. Can't say where Tony will end up because it's unclear at this point as to why he's leaving. I can't imagine that it's a PT issue, because he would have gotten a lot next year even if he wasn't starting. I don't see Drew getting a scholarship offer from any serious D1 schools because the guy just doesn't have the necessary level of skill. But hey, who knows, stranger things have happened.
We'll probably hear some more info over the next week or two from those closer to the program

Drew to Dayton?..they were a four seed this year weren't they? And we might even see him if we end up in the a-10...though i hope that doesn't happen..anyway, it is nice to see a good recruiting class come in...causey looks pretty good, and reed and the dazdarevic (sp?) look good, what's this about townes eligibility though?

sounds like Townes is going to prep school for a year. The frontcourt really could have used him next year if Sweetney goes

What does Darian going to Prep School mean for the team? I've never really been clear on the issue. Is it to raise grades, improve his game, or indicate he's leaning towards not going to Georgetown?

I've heard that it's a grades/classes issue, but who knows. This is a guy who's been in the Hoya camp for a long time, so I'd hate to think he's having second thoughts on attending GU. With a frontcourt of Freeman and , it can't be a playng time issue.

Are either Hibbert and Townes expected to be immediate and big time contributers?...i know asking for a Zo, Ewing or Sweetney might be a lot, but w/freshman playing the way they have the past couple years and our big man philosophy I'm interested to see who'll be next. By the way, how good exactly is Causey supposed to be?

After seeing Causey play, he looks like he'll be a solid player in the rotation for the next 2 maybe 3 years and eventually become the starter. I think as the season progresses Ray Reed will really begin to turn some heads he's going to be a big part of the Hoyas next 4 years. Hibbert is not an immediate impact. He seems to have injury problems and still needs to work on his offensive game although if he does stay healthy he will be a force on D, i mean the kid is 7'2''.
